We invite you to Compelled: All Nations Missions Conference 2019.
2 Corinthians 5:14-15 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
The good news that transforms us individually is the same news that commissions us globally. Our missional efforts are impacted by our depth of our understanding of Christ's undying love for the church. Join us as we seek to grow as a church to truly be for All Nations here in Lake View Terrace and beyond.
Students K-8 will have their own missions conference program running concurrently with the adults. Our hope is to instill the a missional heart and mind in our children as well. “A Good Work” | August 14-15 | ANCHOR
We all wrestle with the daily ins and outs of striving to be faithful. Too often, simply being "faithful" can seem daunting and impossible because it is the very nature of our own hearts that fight against the righteousness and work of Christ on the cross. We are lazy, apathetic, overwhelmed, self-oriented etc and even on the best of days, it can be difficult to trust that Christ is enough.
During this retreat, we will be focusing on the theme of "A Good Work" based on Philippians 1:6, "And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." The heart of our time together will focus on trusting in God's sovereignty through each and every aspect of our lives in order to live in a manner that faithfully walks after His promise to finish His "good work" in His people by His power and redemption. And in this, we not only have freedom, but joy to respond with a life steeped in the hope of the Gospel as the Spirit convicts and compels us to a deepening knowledge and love of the Cross for us.
Retreat Cost Information:
If you are legitimately in need of financial aid, please select "I am interested in Financial Aid" on the Google Registration Form in the link below and Pastor Paul will reach out to you. We have a limited amount of support available and would really like to bless and encourage those who might struggle in paying for the retreat.
